Amahoro Island

Known as the Island of Peace, Amahoro Island offers calm waters, scenic picnic spots, and peaceful surroundings ideal for relaxation, swimming, and photography.

Napoleon Island

Also know as Nyamunini Island, one of Lake Kivu’s most famous islands, Napoleon Island is home to a large colony of Peter’s Dwarf Epauletted Fruit Bats and over 50 bird species.

Visitors can enjoy a moderate hike to the summit for spectacular panoramic views across Lake Kivu.

Mafundugu Island

Nyenyeri Island
